Costs?

This server instance of Presto is free for non-commercial use.

If you're interested in selling an Internet of Things product or service commercially, please contact us at support@peoplepowerco.com to discuss pricing options. We have very flexible pricing options that align with your business model, including one-time buys and recurring revenue models.

Limitations of this server?

This Presto developer server instance is meant for development, research, and testing. It is too small to support a full commercial launch of a product. Please contact support@peoplepowerco.com to discuss migrating your devices to our massively scalable production server.

Steps to launch my product?

Please contact support@peoplepowerco.com to discuss migrating your devices to our massively scalable production server.

If you would like People Power to host the service, your device types and parameters will be migrated to a production server instance, while they are optimized for performance and scalability.

People Power also enables clients to run Presto on their own local servers and data centers.

White-label branding?

Yes. We can arm you with mobile apps and web consoles that are ready-made for energy, security, and elderly care markets. Please contact support@peoplepowerco.com to discuss pricing options.

Command Center?

Administrators on our production server also have access to a Command Center to manage users, define groups, send messages, see a dashboard of performance and device issues, engage with users through challenges, and allocate points. Please contact support@peoplepowerco.com for demos and pricing options.

Source code licensing?

The Presto platform and Presto Command Center are all available for source code licensing. In addition, the Presence Android mobile app framework, Presence iOS mobile app framework, and Presence web console framework are all available for source code licensing. Please contact support@peoplepowerco.com to discuss pricing options.

Can I run Presto locally?

Yes. Presto is designed to be deployed anywhere, including servers running locally inside a building.

Can apps connect without Presto?

Yes. Your apps can employ a local + remote connection strategy.

Your devices will first need to provide the ability to be discovered on the local network (with mDNS or DNS-SD for instance).

Next, your devices will need to provide its own local API to send commands to (HTTP POST) or retrieve measurements from (HTTP GET).

Finally, mobile app device UI's simply need to check the local network for the existence of the device it is trying to control. If the device exists locally, use the local APIs to control it. If not, use Presto to control it remotely.
